Parallel is the winner of the Vision Art Prize at the 2010 Visionaria International Video Festival (Italy) and recipient of an jury mention at the 2010 Japan Media Arts Festival. The project exists as both a single-channel video and an interdisciplinary art performance.

An artist creates a series of self portraits in order to better understand his own identity. These images give new life to past emotional states of loneliness and isolation, and by looking at them, the artist relives these experiences and is inspired to create more images. In this process, he discovers himself trapped in a cycle of artistic creation, caught in a loop that has no beginning and no end, an endless journey with no destination. He is merely part of a machine that he himself constructed.
